David South Consulting/David South International (DSC/DSI) draws on real-world experience in strategy for large public organisations. By combining strategy and design methodologies, DSC/DSI has tackled complex problems and shaped and transformed large institutions undergoing crisis and change. Practice Areas

Health

We have worked with medical and health professionals to help them communicate and undertake complex communications projects, either better connecting with patients and other healthcare professionals, or just using digital media effectively. We played a key part in a major modernisation plan for a healthcare system (National Health Service), being called a “role model”.

Human Development

Since 1997, beginning with working as the Managing Editor for Mongolia’s first human development report, significant expertise and global reputation has been developed in human development innovation. This culminated in the global magazine Southern Innovator for the United Nations.

Innovation

Chronicling innovation and leading innovative projects and initiatives. Can draw on vast expertise in innovation, both as a practitioner and as a connector and chronicler.

David South International

David South International can bring two decades’ experience working in the international realm to its work. This has included at the highest levels with the United Nations and national governments. Importantly, this has been at key moments, be it rescuing a country from a major crisis, to helping large institutions to re-think their work and methodology to keep pace with the 21st century.

We have worked around the world for the United Nations and other clients. In this example for UNDP Mongolia in 2005, we worked with a Mongolian graphic designer to create infographics for a report on the country’s media landscape.

Unique in this area, David South International has experience leading innovative and transformative projects, combined with a wealth of first-hand knowledge on innovation gleaned from those who are doing it around the world. From being called the ‘Godfather of the Mongolian Web’ to a “role model” at the United Nations and the UK’s NHS, DSI has a knack for being where it is just getting exciting. What is the result? A sparky mind that can offer rich insights, combined with practical actions to get results.
